My coding journey began at the age of 9 when I joined the Infocomm Club in primary school, learning Scratch and micro:bit. My original passion was for general coding and game creation.

My breakthrough came when I was Primary Six, competed in the National Primary Games Creation and Coding Competition 2021. Going into that competition, my 3 teammates and I had to make a Scratch game for senior citizens, but 2 of those teammates were of almost no help at all. Thankfully, my friend Jonaz and I pulled an all-nighter to finish it and came in 4th. From then on, I learnt that quick thinking and hard work were all that mattered when under pressure.

With my increased participation in many events that year, I was decorated heavily for my efforts.

I also had my fair share of events when I went to secondary school. A few months after entering the Technoprenur Programme, I found myself with two groups doing separate apps and having to present them, one at the Singapore Computer Society and one at the then new Apple store at Marina Bay Sands.

Realising that I would be at a disadvantage to others without any knowledge on text-based programming languages, I took up a course on basic Python at the end of 2022.

However, I would take a break from competition for the whole of 2023, even as I was being ported to Sentinel. During this period of time, I went to a Brainhack hackathon at Marina Bay Sands with my Sentinel classmates, which was my first contact with cybersecurity agencies and some of the tools they used. I have since fallen in love with the cybersecurity sector.

When 2024 came around, I came back swinging, taking part in both Cyberquest and CDDC simultaneously. These events taught me even more things about cybersecurity, and how to work in a team, as my teammates and I had to communicate via online platforms for the whole duration of the competition. In Cyberquest, I took on the role of tech support and communicator as I helped my teammates score points while sleep deprived (we had to wake up at 5am to accommodate the Australian time zone). This continued during the whole month of CDDC training and competition, where I shared insights and tips on how to complete questions during the camp and shared information with my teammates during the competition.

For 2025, I participated in the TP × VJC Data Science Hackathon for my final competition in secondary school. This hackathon, although not very cybersecurity focused, helped me to learn about the data I would have to protect when embarking on this journey.

This website was created as a protfoilo for my application for EAE as a Cybersecurity student, but it has grown to be the reperesentation of me. One major problem during early development was figuring out alignments and styles due to no formal education in CSS styling in HTML, but a love for constant learning helped me to overcome this challenge. I will constantly update this website with new features and updates about my life as I grow older, and a section is dedicated to my patch notes as a way to see how this website has grown.
